Electrical Technology

Electrical Technology teaches the principles of electricity, power generation, and control systems. Students gain hands-on experience in wiring, circuit design, and industrial installations, preparing them for careers in energy, automation, and electrical maintenance.

Overview

The Curriculum of DAE Electrical Technology offered at various institutes of TEVTA has been designed to teach students to apply knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Workshop Practice, and Technology Fundamentals & advances. In the 1 year, basic subjects comprising the fundamentals of technology accompanied by allied (i-e Workshop Practice & Drawing) and related studies (Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, etc.) courses are taught. 2 nd year involves the training in broader field medium complexity level from energy and power systems to IT & communication, including the subjects of management. In the final year, students will be taught how to analyses complex technology problems more practically by advanced-level technical courses being imparted.

Career Outcomes

Electrical Technician – Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in factories, buildings, and power plants
Control Panel Assembler – Build and wire control panels for industrial automation
Maintenance Supervisor – Oversee electrical maintenance in manufacturing units or commercial buildings
Power Plant Operator – Manage operations in multi-megawatt power generation stations
Instrumentation Technician – Work with sensors, meters, and control systems in process industries.
